Who are we?
MyAutoTaxes is a free, independent calculator for the registration tax and the annual road tax in Wallonia, Brussels and Flanders. It is not affiliated with SPW Finances, Brussels Taxation or the Flemish Tax Administration, and does not replace an official tax assessment.
How are the amounts calculated?
- Rates and formulas come from the official publications of the three regions (rate tables, PDFs and web pages), apply from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027, and are updated every year after the 1 July indexation.
- The guide tables and the car page amounts are computed by the same engine as the calculator, so they always match.
- The Flemish results were compared with the official simulator of the Flemish Tax Administration; automated tests check every rule on every change.
- Car pages use typical manufacturer values (power, engine size, CO2, euronorm) and an estimated maximum authorised mass.
Limits
- The result is an estimate: the exact amount depends on your registration certificate and the registration date.
- Some cases are not covered: personal exemptions (e.g. for disabled people), Flemish rates for buses and trucks, and the Flemish road tax reform from 2027 until it is final.
Privacy
Calculations run in your browser: what you enter is neither stored nor sent. The site is funded by advertising.
